Ambassador Chen Feng visited Ovidius University of Constanța on October 27 and toured an independent Confucius Classroom the university runs with Beijing Language and Culture University. He asked about staffing and how the classroom operates, sat in on a Chinese language class, and encouraged students to study the language hard and get to know China, using language as a bridge for communication between the two peoples.

During the visit, Chen met with the university president Rector Iliescu and exchanged views on deepening educational cooperation. He stressed that the Chinese Embassy in Romania supports the university in strengthening cooperation with Chinese partners in Chinese language teaching, academic research and talent cultivation, and in producing more practical results.
