On the 65th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations, Sino-Czech, Sino-Slovak relationship will enter a new stage

The 3rd National Coordinators' Meeting for Cooperation between China and CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) Countries was held in Beijing on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Martin Tlapa, Vice Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic and Dagmar Rep？eková, head of the economic department of Slovakia's foreign ministry attended the meeting.
Tlapa said that as this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and the Czech Republic, the occasion will inject the bilateral relations with new vitality.
"It is gratifying to see the development of Sino-Czech relations. After Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek's visit to China, more bilateral visits are being planned. In late August, the Czech Republic plans to host a Sino-Czech Investment Forum and the leadership meeting of China and CEE countries. I believe we are in good times, and all these results are inseparable from Minister Zaoralek's visit."
Vice Foreign Minister Tlapa also emphasized the importance of the anniversary to promote in-depth development of bilateral relations and the cooperation. Czech enterprises are willing to cooperate with Chinese enterprises to reach out to the world market and so to contribute to the cooperation between China and Europe.
"I believe, the two sides should further cement cooperation in areas such as economy, science, technology etc. The future cooperation should be extensively applied to all CEE countries."
Dagmar Rep？eková, national coordinator of Slovakia, attended the meeting and speaks highly of the current bilateral relations. She expressed the appreciation on specific cooperation projects. She stated the 65th anniversary is of remarkable meanings.
"On this special occasion, the two sides will see more high-level exchanges. Slovakia hopes to introduce its own culture and artists to the Chinese people and will designate specific opening policies for China. We are prepared to launch a series of cooperation projects with China and I know China is also well-prepared in this regard."
She also said apart from the Friendship Farm, there will be more projects to be accomplished.
"I hope to carry out the proposals we made. The meeting laid a foundation for the cooperation projects. We will propose more projects in Slovakia with China, including cooperation within the framework of the whole region, which I have good faith in."
