Jiangsu province in East China recently received a delegation of journalists from Central and Eastern European countries.
In Jiangsu's capital city Nanjing, the delegation visited the Memorial Hall of Victims of the Nanjing Massacre. Japanese troops launched the massacre in Nanjing on Dec. 13, 1937, killing more than 300,000 people in six weeks.
At a press conference held after the tour, the curator Zhu Chengshan delivered a speech and answered questions raised by foreign journalists.
About the modern side of Jiangsu, the delegation paid a visit to the organizing committee of the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games which will be held in Nanjing from August 16th to 28th this year.
Journalists also visited Suzhou Industrial Park in the province.
The next destination for the delegation is northwestern China's Gansu province.
