State Councillor Yang Jing Meets with Delegation of Senior Officials from Central and Eastern European Countries

On 17 July 2014, State Councillor and Secretary-General of the State Council Yang Jing met with a delegation of senior officials from central and eastern European countries (CEE countries or CEEC) at Ziguangge, Zhongnanhai.
Yang briefed the delegation on the development of China. He said, China stands ready to engage CEE countries in mutual learning of each other's development experience to jointly promote China-CEEC cooperation, as this initiative serves the shared interest of China and CEE countries and is in line with the wider picture of China-EU relations.
Senior officials from CEE countries expressed admiration for what China has achieved in its development and their readiness to enhance bilateral relations and China-CEEC cooperation.
The delegation visited China at the invitation of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries.
