On 19 September 2024, Ambassador Qi Qianjin met with Mr. Tonči Glavina, Minister of Tourism and Sport of Croatia.

Ambassador Qi said the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee made clear the overall objectives of further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese Modernization, which would provide opportunities for all countries including Croatia, and hoped Croatia would continue to improve tourism facilitation and services for Chinese tourists. Ambassador Qi said Croatia was in charge of summer sports of the China-CEEC Sports Coordination Mechanism, and China and Croatia should jointly deepen cooperation within the Mechanism so it could deliver tangible outcomes.

 Mr. Glavina said that Croatia was working hard to promote high-quality and sustainable development of the tourism industry, and willing to provide better services for Chinese tourists. He emphasized Croatia attached great importance to the China-CEEC Sports Coordination Mechanism and was willing to further deepen sports cooperation between the two countries.
