On 1 September, Ambassador Pang Chunxue met with Ymeri, head of the Albanian Publishers' Association, and the two sides exchanged views on book publishing cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Pang said that China-Albania people-to-people and cultural exchanges are a highlight of the development of bilateral relations. The two countries' reciprocal translation of classic books has yielded fruitful results and has become a solid bridge linking the two peoples. The Chinese Embassy in Albania will continue to support publishing houses on both sides in strengthening cooperation and promoting people-to-people bonds. Ymeri said the Albanian Publishers' Association actively participates in the reciprocal translation and publishing project for classic books. Chinese classics are widely welcome in Albania and serve as an important window for Albanian readers to understand China and Chinese culture. He expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation with Chinese publishing institutions and contribute to cultural exchanges between the two countries.
