On September 25, 2026, Zhou Qian, newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to the Czech Republic, presented a copy of his credentials to Markéta Šarbochová, Director of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Zhou said that he was greatly honored to serve as Chinese Ambassador to the Czech Republic, and that he would do his utmost and actively fulfill his duties to promote new achievements in bilateral relations across all fields.

Ms. Šarbochová warmly welcomed Ambassador Zhou on his new posting in the Czech Republic, expressing readiness to provide active assistance for his work in the country and to jointly promote bilateral practical cooperation and continuous new progress in China-Czech relations.

Ambassador Zhou Qian arrived in the Czech Republic with his wife on September 23 to take up his post.
