On 9 October 2026, Qi Qianjin, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia, met with Vice-Rector Pavičić of the University of Zagreb at the Embassy.

Ambassador Qi spoke highly of the achievements of China-Croatia cooperation. He thanked the University of Zagreb for its support for China-Croatia educational cooperation, and fully acknowledged the positive role played by the university’s Confucius Institute in promoting the Chinese language, disseminating Chinese culture and enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples. He hoped the university would further deepen exchanges with Chinese universities in education, scientific research, people-to-people and cultural fields and deliver more achievements for bilateral cooperation.

Vice-Rector Pavičić commended and thanked Ambassador Qi for his efforts to foster and develop partnerships between their university and Chinese higher education institutions and deepen China-Croatia academic exchanges. On behalf of the university, he presented Ambassador Qi with a certificate of appreciation.
