Trade between Ningxia Hui autonomous region with Central and Eastern European countries has seen rapid development in the first half, according to local customs.

Data from Yinchuan customs shows that trade between Ningxia with Central and Eastern European countries reached 282 million yuan ($42 million) in H1, a 40.7 percent growth year-on-year.

Export reached 256 million yuan, growing 34.1 percent year-on-year, and import volume reached 26 million yuan, with a growth rate of 171.3 percent.

Poland, Slovenia and Greece ranked top 3 in terms of trade with Ningxia among Central and Eastern European countries.

Major export products include medical equipment, medicine and chemicals, and major imports include electrical products.
