On September 23, 2026, the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries organized a tour for CEEC ambassadors to China to visit high-tech enterprises in Beijing, including Chaoyang Environment Group, ZTE, Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, and LLVision. A total of 16 people, including ambassadors and embassy representatives from 12 countries—Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovakia—participated in the event, accompanied by Li Jian, Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat and Head of the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Li Jian stated that this tour has provided a direct view of China's achievements in high-tech development and highlighted the convergence of broad cooperation between China and Europe in emerging and future industries. China and Europe are partners, not rivals. Protectionism leads nowhere, and win-win cooperation is the right path. China is ready to be a cooperative partner for Europe in addressing its own development challenges. It will continue to substantiate and strengthen the cooperation mechanism between China and CEECs, constantly injecting new impetus into the coordinated development of bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and China-Europe relations.

The envoys had an up-close look at the independent innovation practices of Chinese enterprises in fields such as green development, digital economy, and intelligent manufacturing. They spoke highly of China's achievements in developing new quality productive forces and its high-end manufacturing capabilities. They noted that the visit helped enhance their understanding of Chinese modernization, expressed willingness to serve as a bridge, and promote the yielding of more fruitful results from scientific and technological innovation cooperation between CEECs and China, so as to achieve common development.
