Shanghai Securities News · China Securities Network (Reporter Wang Yuqing) — According to an announcement by EVE Energy on October 10, Liu Jincheng, Chairman of EVE Energy, recently met with the Hungarian delegation during the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE). The two sides held in-depth discussions on the construction progress of the company’s Hungary project, its strategic layout in the European market, and industrial cooperation opportunities.
EVE Energy stated that during the meeting, the Hungarian delegation recognized the company’s development philosophy of compliant operation, open collaboration and deep local roots, and expressed expectation for continued close cooperation to ensure steady progress of the project.
The Hungary production base is EVE Energy’s first localized manufacturing project in Europe. It serves as both a key link in the company’s global layout and a core strategic vehicle for its deep engagement in the European new energy market. Adopting market-proven, mature battery technologies, the project supplies high-performance large cylindrical battery cells to European customers and is scheduled to officially commence production in 2027. At full capacity, the base will create over 1,000 local jobs, drive the coordinated upgrading of the regional new energy industrial chain upstream and downstream, and further improve Europe’s local power battery supply chain system.
“To Hungary, we have made a long-term commitment,” said Liu Jincheng. He noted that the company has always pursued the localized development philosophy of In Europe, For Europe, and leverages local talent teams and supply chain systems to deepen its presence in the European new energy market with a long-term strategy. Going forward, the company will continue to increase investment in technology R&D, talent development and supply chain building, and build the Debrecen plant into one of the most modern, safest and most sustainable production bases in Europe, contributing to Hungary’s industrial development.
