On 4th July, Ambassador Qi Qianjin accepted a live interview by Radio Nacional, introducing President Xi Jinping’s major ideas and initiatives, Chinese developmental achievements, China-Croatia relations, and other content, to a wide audience.

Ambassador Qi said that this year is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In 75 years, China made a great leap from standing up and becoming wealthy to becoming strong, embarking on the new journey of comprehensively promoting the building of a strong country and rejuvenating the nation through Chinese modernization. In 32 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Croatia insisted on mutual respect, equal treatment, mutual interests and win-win cooperation, and became the models of friendly cooperation between countries with different sizes and populations, and different social systems. Facing global challenges, 70 years ago China proposed Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and 70 years later Xi Jinping gave an answer for this era to construct a community with a shared future for mankind, which strongly promoted the bright prospects of world peace, safety, prosperity, and progress.
