On July 17th , the Chinese Embassy in Slovenia hosted a reception to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. 

Defense Attaché Senior Colonel Meng Qinggang emphasized that all officers and soldiers have always been guided by Xi Jinping's thoughts on strengthening the army, firmly following the path of strengthening the Army with Chinese characteristics, and fully prepared to effectively defend national interests under the call of the Party and the people. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. China is willing to work with peace-loving people from all over the world to firmly safeguard the post-war international order and build a better future for mankind.

The reception was held in a grand and friendly atmosphere. The guests warmly congratulated the PLA on its 98th anniversary, fully affirmed the great achievements made in China's national defense and military construction, and spoke highly of the Chinese military's positive contribution to the comprehensive implementation of global security initiatives.
