On October 1, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Zhou Qian paid a courtesy call on Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Chatardová, who is in charge of Asia and Africa, the Middle East, Western Europe, international organizations and economic diplomacy.

Ambassador Zhou said that China-Czech friendship has a long history and that bilateral relations have shown a momentum of improvement and upward movement since the beginning of this year. China stands ready to work with the Czech side to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders and do its utmost to promote the sound and steady development of China-Czech relations.

Deputy Minister Chatardová warmly welcomed Ambassador Zhou to his new posting in the Czech Republic and said that the Czech government is committed to developing relations with China and stands ready to work with His Excellency the Ambassador to jointly deliver more results in practical Czech-China cooperation.
