On October 14, 2026, Jiang Xiaoyan, Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia, met with Borche Serafimovski, the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of North Macedonia.

Ambassador Jiang introduced China’s goals and measures for accelerating efforts to build a strong agricultural country and advancing agricultural and rural modernization. She stated that China is committed to promoting high-quality development through high-level opening-up, welcomes more high-quality specialty agricultural products from North Macedonia to the Chinese market, and is ready to strengthen cooperation on experience sharing and training of professional personnel in areas such as crop cultivation and agricultural innovation and technology.

The two sides exchanged views on rural revitalization, smart agricultural machinery, green agriculture, and eco-tourism.
