On the afternoon of November 26, 2017 local time, at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, Premier Li Keqiang arrived at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport by special plane. Li Keqiang will attend the 6th Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) and pay an official visit to Hungary.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary led Cabinet ministers to greet Li Keqiang at the airport. Li Keqiang stepped down the ladder, warmly shook hands and exchanged warm greetings with Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The guard of honor lined up on both sides of the red carpet. Students from the Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual Primary School presented flowers to express welcome. H.E. Duan Jielong, Chinese Ambassador to Hungary, and others also greeted Li Keqiang at the airport.

Li Keqiang noted that this year marks the fifth anniversary of the launching of "16+1 cooperation" between China and CEEC. Starting from scratch, the "16+1 cooperation" has been growing from small to big, benefitting people of the two sides with substantial projects and tangible cooperation outcomes over the past five years. The cooperation concept of equal consultation, mutual benefit, openness and inclusiveness, as well as practicability and innovation has been deeply rooted in the hearts of people from both sides. Being a part of China-Europe cooperation, the "16+1 cooperation" has not only boosted the development of the CEEC themselves, but also promoted a balanced development for Europe as a whole, which is conducive to the European integration process. China is willing to, together with all sides, review what we have achieved in the past five years and draw a blueprint for the future to achieve greater progress.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China and Hungary enjoy a profound traditional friendship. China and Hungary established diplomatic relations shortly after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. Over the past 60 plus years, bilateral relations have constantly made new progress on the basis of mutual respect and equal treatment. I am looking forward to jointly talking about bilateral friendship and discussing cooperation as well as fleshing out the connotation of China-Hungary comprehensive strategic partnership with the Hungarian side through the visit. In this way, friendly cooperation between China and Hungary will be given new vitality and elevated to new highs on the road of assisting common development and benefitting the people's well-being.

During his attendance at the summit of the "16+1 cooperation", Li Keqiang will, together with CEEC leaders, set out an outline for future cooperation, witness the signing of a series of cooperation documents, meet the press, attend the seventh China-CEEC Economic and Trade Forum, celebrate the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the "16+1 cooperation", and also hold bilateral meetings with present CEEC leaders.

During the visit in Hungary, Li Keqiang will hold talks with Prime Minister Viktor Orban, witness the signing of documents on bilateral cooperation in politics, economy, finance and people-to-people and cultural engagement, and jointly meet with the press. Li Keqiang will also meet with President Janos Ader, Speaker of the National Assembly Laszlo Kover and other political heavyweights of Hungary.
