On October 1, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming visited Radio Televizija Srbije (RTS) for a live interview on its special program “Morning News” marking China’s National Day. He gave an in-depth introduction to the major development achievements China has made over 77 years since the founding of New China, outlined the bright prospects of advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese modernization, and explained the profound connotations and contemporary value of the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and of the four major global initiatives.

Ambassador Li noted that over the past 77 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people have worked tirelessly to achieve the two miracles of rapid economic development and long-term social stability. This year marks the first year of implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan. In the first half of this year, China’s GDP grew by 4.7 percent year on year, demonstrating strong resilience and vitality and serving as a powerful stabilizing force for world economic growth.

The Chinese people are full of confidence in the bright prospects of Chinese modernization and will, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, forge ahead toward the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects. China will actively promote the implementation of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI), the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI) and the Global Governance Initiative (GGI), and work to build a community with a shared future for humanity. In a world of turbulence and transformation, China will inject greater stability and positive energy, and stands ready to share China’s opportunities with countries around the world, including Serbia, for common development and shared prosperity.

Ambassador Li answered reporters’questions on China-Serbia relations and the recent head-of-state diplomacy between China and the United States, introduced the fruitful outcomes of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and Serbia and the latest progress in fields such as artificial intelligence and robotics, and stressed that China is ready to use its support for and participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade as an opportunity to help bilateral cooperation in various fields continue to reach new levels and improve in quality.
