On the morning of November 28, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic of Serbia at the hotel where he stayed in Budapest.

　　Li Keqiang noted that China and Serbia are comprehensive strategic partners who enjoy fruitful achievements from bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. The construction of the Belgrade-Stara Pazova section of the Budapest-Belgrade railway officially started today, which marks that the significant progress has been made in the construction of the Budapest-Belgrade railway. It is hoped that both sides could steadily advance the construction of this section of the railway, and meanwhile, speed up the designing work for the Novi Sad-Subotica section, so as to push forward the early completion of the Budapest-Belgrade railway, a flagship project of the "16+1 cooperation", and to inject impetus into the acceleration and advancement of the construction of China-Europe Land-Sea Express Line and regional connectivity.

　　Li Keqiang pointed out that the Chinese side is willing to make persistent efforts with the Serbian side to continuously promote relevant cooperation projects in infrastructure and production capacity including railway, steel mill, and industrial parks, and stretch the cooperative industrial chain, in a bid to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

　　Ana Brnabic expressed that the Serbian side thanks China's support for its economic development. Serbia-China cooperation witnesses the prominent outcomes in the "16+1 cooperation". The country stands ready to, together with China, jointly advance the construction of the Budapest-Belgrade railway, and conduct cooperation in industrial parks, e-commerce, logistics and other fields. Serbia welcomes Chinese enterprises to participate in its transportation infrastructure construction, and hopes to open direct flights between the two countries at an early date, in a bid to facilitate tourism and personnel exchanges between both sides.
