On the afternoon of September 8, Chen Guoyou, Special Representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry for China-CEEC Cooperation Affairs, visited our school to study the work of the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Vocational Institutes Industry-Education Alliance. He was accompanied by Jia Qiuya, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, and Bao Xianping, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Ningbo Municipal People’s Government.

Chen Guoyou and his delegation toured the cross-border e-commerce training center for Central and Eastern European products, the Fashion Design Building’s “China-Romania Silk Road Craftsman Academy,” the “Hongbang Clothing Artisanship Workshops” in Bulgaria and Serbia, and learned about the achievements of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. They conducted an on-site study of the Alliance’s achievements and the school’s distinctive features in internationalized education.
At the subsequent symposium, Zheng Weidong, Chairman of the Alliance and President of the school, provided a detailed report on the Alliance’s basic information, work initiatives, and achievements in the fields of educational cooperation, industry-education integration, cultural exchange, and economic and trade services. He stated that the Alliance would continue to operate under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, as well as provincial and municipal foreign affairs and education departments, giving full play to its role as a regional institutional platform for international cooperation in vocational education, and strive to become an important “bridge” for expanding and consolidating the “circle of friends” in China’s vocational education.
Chen Guoyou highly praised the achievements of the Alliance, emphasizing that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China-CEEC Cooperation Secretariat will fully support the development and growth of the Alliance. He outlined three expectations for the Alliance’s next steps: First, to strengthen its foundation, expand platforms, and enrich resources to ensure the cooperative outcomes better benefit the youth from both sides. Second, to leverage its own advantages and closely align with local needs, and to promote the implementation of “small yet impactful, livelihood-oriented” bilateral projects. Third, to enhance coordination with the China-CEEC Expo, expand the Alliance’s influence, and create a scaled impact.
