On May 8, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao met at request with former President and President of National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with China Tomislav Nikolic of Serbia, who was in China for the 5th "Belt and Road" International Financial Exchange & Cooperation Seminar held by Bank of China. Both sides exchanged views on China-Serbia relations, practical cooperation between the two countries as well as other topics.
